(MENAFN) China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation Ltd. (CSR), leading train manufacturer in China, said that it has been selected to produce two passenger trains for Turkmenistan, Xinhua reported.
The largest internal-combustion train manufacturer, CSR Ziyang, was the only company to sign a contract with the Chinese ministry of commerce to manufacture two passenger trains and parts for Turkmenistan this year.
CSR Ziyang has delivered over 200 trains to Turkmenistan in four orders since 2004. The third order totaled at 75 trains, making it the largest economic and trade project for China in Turkmenistan.
