Serbia, China sign USD716 m deal


(MENAFN) Serbia has signed a USD716 million deal with China for the coal-fired power plant project on Friday, according to Qatar News Agency. The construction is located at Serbia's largest power plant, Kostolac, and is expected to start in 2014 and end up by 2019. As a part of the deal, a lignite mine near the plant will be expanded and output increased to 12 million tons of coal annually.
