Kurdish oil to flow through Turkey in weeks

(MENAFN) Oil exports of Iraq's Kurdistan region are expected to flow through a pipeline through Turkey in weeks, without agreeing payment protocol with Baghdad, The Peninsula reported. The pipeline is being constructed by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) with a capacity of 300,000 barrel per day. The president of Anglo-Turkish oilfield operator Genel Energy said: "A big part of our production will go into this oil pipeline." Under an article in the Iraqi constitution, the semi-autonomous Kurdistan region is entitled to 17 percent of the total oil revenues in Iraq.
