Saudi, Azerbaijan plan strengthening trade relations


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan will hold the 3rd session of the Joint Commission on Cooperation in the economic, trade, investment, technical, cultural, sport and youth spheres in Baku on December 10, according to Arab News. Abdullatif Al-Othman, governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), will head 60 Saudi members. The Azerbaijani delegation will be headed by Shahin Mustafayev, minister of economic and development and co-chair of the commission. Saudi Fund for Development lent USD9.51 million to Azerbaijan in order to construct secondary schools in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2002. The Kingdom also offered USD13.000 million for financial assistance to Azerbaijan.
