Embassy of Pakistan marks Oman's 43rd National Day


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) To mark the 43rd National Day of Oman, the Embassy of Pakistan, Muscat organised a function at Crowne Plaza Muscat on November 22. Tawfeeq Abdul Hussain Jumah Sultan al Lawati, member, Majlis A'Shura, was the chief guest.

 The event was attended by government dignitaries, prominent Omani members leading businessmen, Pakistani community members and media representatives. During the event, Lawati along with K K Ahsan Wagan, Charge d' Affaires, Embassy of Pakistan, Muscat and other dignitaries cut the cake. In order to pay tribute to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said few speeches were made in Arabic highlighting the role played by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said in completely transforming this beautiful country.

As part of the 43rd National Day celebration, the Embassy launched a book Ahd-o-Wafa written on His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, which was translated in Urdu. In addition to book, a website on His Majesty the Sultan translated in Urdu with the courtesy of Hamoud al Azri, general supervisor of the website was also launched. Wagan conveyed congratulations to His Majesty the Sultan and people of Oman on the auspicious occasion of 43rd National Day.

He also highlighted the achievements made by Omani government in various sectors of the economy. In his speech, he paid a rich tribute to His Majesty the Sultan and stated that Oman had attend rapid and controlled development which has led this country.
