Saudi- Illegals smash computers

(MENAFN- Arab News) Ethiopian illegal workers instigated riots inside the old building of Princess Nora University in Riyadh and smashed computers belonging to the Passport Department, said a security source at the Ministry of Interior. "There are large numbers of violators at the Princess Nora center and we don't have enough cameras to photograph all of them," he said. The source said 2,000 Ethiopians were taken in 20 buses on Thursday morning to King Khaled International airport for deportation. Bandar Al-Aiban, president of the Human Rights Commission, has ordered the setting up of a temporary branch in Princess Nora University's old building on Exit 9 on Circular Road. Expatriates responsible for following up on the the Ethiopian expat situation expect the branch to receive many complaints against Ethiopians due to their behavioral transgressions. Al-Aiban allocated a temporary branch to evaluate the work of security apparatus and supervise the situation of Ethiopian nationals. He has formed a team of representatives from the commission to reside at the university, who is given full authority to monitor impropriety against Ethiopians. He said that ongoing work at deportation shelters was highly organized and completed in record time. Al-Aiban said Ethiopian expatriates enjoy freedom of movement and that the facts that were presented to the Human Rights Commission are clear and cannot be contested.
