Business confidence in Philippines up 52.3 percent in Q4


(MENAFN) Philippines' central bank said that the business outlook in the fourth quarter in the country increased to 52.3 percent from 42.8 percent in the previous quarter, Xinhuanet reported. The factors that lead to this increase in the outlook include increased consumer demand , major palay harvest seasons, more orders and projects , expansion of businesses and a sustained demand for construction projects. The central bank said: "The favorable macroeconomic conditions in the country, particularly low inflation and interest rates, a strong peso, higher foreign investment inflows and the steady stream of overseas Filipinos' (OFs) remittances also boosted business confidence in the current quarter."
