Kuwait Airways' flights to Iraq resumed

(MENAFN) Flights to Iraq by Kuwait Airways resumed after the first flight since the 1990 Iraqi invasion landed in Iraq, Arabian Business reported. The flight, which landed in Najaf, contained 100 passengers and most of them were visiting Shi'ite Muslim holy sites in the city, the director of Najaf's international airport said. Kuwait Airways plans to send two flights per week to Najaf as the city is more secure than the Baghdad.
