Unemployment in Gulf nations may rise

(MENAFN) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that Gulf countries may experience a rise in the jobless rate between citizens in the following years, Arabian Business reported. The IMF said Gulf oil exporter can avert this by reducing their reliance on cheap foreign labor. The IMF said: "With a rapidly rising youth population...private-sector job creation for GCC nationals has become a challenge and unemployment could rise in the coming years unless more nationals find jobs in the private sector."
