Unemployment in Greece rises 18 percent


(MENAFN) Tens of thousands of Greek citizens have lost their jobs after the economic crisis, and are suffering to house themselves, according to Oman Observer. A 51-year-old antiques dealer, who lost his business, said: "I lost everything " my business, my home, my security." The country's citizens, of different educational degrees and experiences are suffering the results of the six-year recession that caused an 18 percent rise in unemployment. "The new homeless are families, working-class individuals and even professionals," said Ada Alamanou, head of communications for Klimaka, a non-governmental social services agency for the poor.
