Spain trade deficit down 58.6 percent


(MENAFN) The trade deficit in Spain decreased 58.6 percent in the January-September period of this year, versus the same period last year, Xinhuanet reported. The trade deficit in the country hit USD14.8 billion in the period, on the back of a surge in exports and a decrease in imports. The country's exports to the EU went up 5.3 percent in the period, while exports to the eurozone went up 4 percent. Spain's exports to non-EU markets surged 9.4 percent in the first nine months.
