Chicago home prices increase 9.6 percent in Oct.


(MENAFN) A number of 9,303 homes were sold in the Chicago area last month, Xinhuanet reported. The homes sold include single-family houses and condominiums, sold at USD175,000 in October, which is up 9.6 percent from the month before it, and 14.4 percent up from October last year. The city of Chicago sold 2,231 homes at a price of USD218,500 in October, which is up 7.5 percent from September and 24.9 percent from the same month last year.
