5.7 Magnitude Quake Hits Eastern Japan


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale hit eastern Japan early Tuesday, according to the US Geological Survey. The epicenter, with a depth of 332.42 km, was determined to be off the eastern Honshu coastline, 25 kilometres from the city of Toba and 37 kilometres from the city of Ise, the US Geological Survey added There were no reports of casualties or damage No tsunami warning was issued.
