South Korea's Producer Prices Fall for 13th Consecutive Month in October
(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) South Korea`s producer prices fell for the 13th consecutive month in October, the central bank said Monday.
Given that the producer price index is a barometer of future consumer inflation, consumer prices are expected to remain subdued for a while
The Bank of Korea said that the producer price index slid 1.4% in October from a year earlier, capping a 13-month decline since the prices fell 0.5% in October last year
This is the first long streak of declines since July 2001 to August 2002 when the prices fell for 14 straight months.
