Deputy Premier Opens Omani Products Exhibition


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud opened today at Qatar International Exhibition Centre the Omani Products Exhibition with HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani, Omani Minister of Trade and Industry Dr. Ali bin Masoud Al Senaidi attending. A large number of businessmen from Qatar and Oman and varying Gulf organizations attended the opening of the exhibition in which over 80 Omani companies are taking part HE Al Mahmoud, accompanied by the two ministers, toured the different pavilions of the exhibition which will remain open until November 20 Addressing the opening ceremony, Head of the Exhibition's Organizing Committee Ayman bin Abdullah Al Hassani said the organizing of the exhibition aims at expanding the access of Omani products to Gulf market in line with the Sultanate's vision to promote non-oil exports and to create trade opportunities that would enrich his country's economy He said the committee's choosing of Qatar to become the second stop for the exhibition came for certain considerations including the Omani government's care for deepening the fraternal relations with the State of Qatar and for the privileges enjoyed by the Qatar market, especially that the world eyes are focussed on Doha which will host the 2022 World Soccer Cup Al Hassani said that the organizing committee of the exhibition sought to mobilize the largest number of industrial companies and factories, representing the various production sectors including building materials, furniture, plastic products, food items, medical devices industries, and others that have high demand in the Qatari market. He said that the fraternal relations between the two countries have witnessed phases that reflected the depth of these relationships among different public and private organizations to turn it into a tangible reality, referring in this respect to the exchanged visits between the two countries at the leadership and government levels which reflect keenness of both parties to maintain them in order to serve the interests of the two countries.
