(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE the Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud has underlined the Qatari -Omani ties as "strong, solid, and historical", and that there is a sincere desire by the two countries to further develop these ties.
In a press statement following the opening the Omani Products Exhibition here today, HE Al Mahmoud said: "that these ties witnessed over the past years a remarkable development in all fields, and was able to set an ideal model in fraternal relations", pointing out that there is a high joint committee between the two countries working to develop these ties in various fields
In this context, HE Al Mahmoud noted that there are a number of joint ventures and companies that are strengthening the economic relations between the two countries, such as Qatar and Oman companies, Karwa and Al Meera
He pointed out that the future of relations between the State of Qatar and Oman is developing in all fields , especially in economic and trade domains , where the volume of trade is expected to grow more than today during 2013 and 2014, given that there are a number of projects that have been agreed upon between the two countries
On the timing of the implementation of these projects , HE Al Mahmoud said that these projects will start in the beginning of 2014
He praised the organizing of such exhibition for the first time in the State of Qatar where many Omani companies are showcasing their products He added: " We discovered during the tour that a lot of companies have a deal in advance with Qatar and have commercial agencies in Doha , which will further facilitate trade in the near future , and we look forward to further cooperation, HE Al Mahmoud noted.
