Malaysian economy grows 5 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) The economy in Malaysia grew five percent in the July-September period on the back of stable local demand and better exports, Xinhuanet reported. The country"s central bank stated that "domestic demand remained the key driver of growth, expanding by 8.3 percent, while exports turned around to grow by 1.7 percent" in the period. In the first half of 2013, the expansion in the country's economy slowed down to 4.2 percent, but growth is expected to be between 4.5 percent and 5 percent for 2013.
