Iran's energy consumption per person 14 times higher than Japan


(MENAFN) The research, scientific and technological department reported that an Iranian citizen consumes 14 times more energy than a Japanese, according to Tehran Times. Ali Vatani, an official at the department, said: "The amount of energy consumption in our country is 14 times more than Japan." He commented that the huge amount of energy consumption is waste of the country's energy. The energy efficiency department will collaborate with oil, gas and coal department to set rules and decrease energy consumption.
