US oil production up in Oct.

(MENAFN) Crude production in the US last month was more than the countrys imports of crude for the first time since 1995, The Peninsula reported. The US Energy Information Administration said that oil products consumption in the month remained flat in an ongoing hike in shale oil production. Crude oil production in the country hit 7.74 million barrels per day (bpd) last month, registering a 17 percent increase from the same month in 2012, but is slightly below output in September 2013 due to disruptions from Hurricane Karen.
