Forbes Media looks for buyer


(MENAFN) US-based Forbes Media chief executive announced that the company contacted bankers to "test the waters regarding a sale," Times of Oman reported. The sale of the family controlled business will include the weekly Forbes Magazine in addition to the digital properties and conference business of the company. An analyst at the research firm Altimeter Group said that Forbes is different from other business publications. "It's a bit stunning when a brand as old as Forbes that has been family - held as long as Forbes has opens itself up to a new ownership structure," she added.
