Liberty posts 45% growth in Kawasaki sales in UAE


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Liberty showcased the 2014 range of Kawasaki products in the largest stand at the recently held Gulf Bike Week 2013 in Dubai, including the fully loaded Kawasaki 1400 GTR, which is currently being tested for deployment by law enforcement bodies in the UAE. Mohammed bin Sulayem, 14 times Middle East rally champion, and President of Emirates Motor Sports Federation and board member of FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile), who inaugurated the show, visited the Kawasaki stand and inspected the Kawasaki GTR, a high performance bike, which is extensively in use by law enforcement agencies in the United States and Europe. The customised bike has a 185 horsepower engine which offers exceptional manoeuvrability and advanced traction control. Ben Sulayem also inspected the Kawasaki Ninja ZX14R, which has been hailed as the world's fastest production bike, as well as the 2014 models of Kawasaki 1500cc jetski Ultra 310X, which will be available at Liberty Kawasaki showrooms soon. "Sales of Kawasaki rose 45 per cent in the first 10 months of this year, led particularly by the popularity of the Ninja range, which dominates the market because of its technical superiority. Based on the response to our special offers we expect much higher sales growth during 2014," said Abbas Asif Mehr, Brand Manager, Kawasaki, at Liberty Automobiles. "We offer attractive financing options with 2.99 per cent interest and easy payment plans with no down payment as well as zero per cent interest on select credit cards. Liberty Kawasaki also works in conjunction with a prominent driving institute to facilitate bike riding lessons and safety training for interested customers, thus expediting the process of obtaining a driving licence," Mehr added. The Kawasaki stand also highlighted the Liberty Kawasaki Racing Team which has been earning laurels in the Dubai Motocross Championship. Members of the team were present at the Liberty Kawasaki stand, including Jinan C. Dasan, who is also an employee of Liberty Kawasaki. The also showcased the 2014 models of Kawasaki KX range of off-road bikes, now in their 40th year of production. At the event, Kawasaki also partnered with 'Outdoor UAE' magazine to give biking enthusiasts an opportunity to pose with a snazzy Kawasaki Ninja bike and have their photographs emailed to them and the option to post the pictures on the magazine's Facebook page. Nearly 2,000 visitors participated in this activity.
