Cambodian exports increase 30 percent in 10 months


(MENAFN) Cambodian trade data revealed that the country's exports in the January-October period went up on the back of an increase in garment, milled rice, and rubber exports, Xinhuanet reported. Data by the Ministry of Commerce show the country's exports in the period hit a total value of USD5.8 billion, registering a 30 percent increase from the USD4.5 billion recorded in the same period last year. Garment exports in the period hit USD4.7 billion, up 24 percent, while rice and dry rubber exports increased 91 percent to USD187 million and 16 percent to USD146 million respectively. The minister said: "With the government's efforts to seek new markets for Cambodian products, I believe that the country's export will continue to grow from year to year."
