(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Japan's machinery orders fell for the first time in two months in September.
But the value of orders received remained relatively high
Officials at the Cabinet Office said on Wednesday the country's leading machinery makers received about 8 billion dollars worth of orders from domestic firms, according to Japan's (NHK WORLD) website
The figure represents a decline of 2.1% from the previous month, when orders reached their highest level since the 2008 global financial crisis
The report excludes orders for ships and those from power companies, which tend to be volatile
Orders from the manufacturing sector rose by 4.1% from the previous month
Orders from non-manufacturers fell by 7%
Demand from financial and insurance firms was sluggish.
