Capacity of pipeline between Iraq, Turkey to be raised

(MENAFN) Work on the crude pipeline from Iraq to Turkey to increase its capacity will finish in the following few months, Times of Oman reported. The oil flow through the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline will be raised by 100,000 to 200,000 barrels per day (bpd) from the current 300,000 to 400,000. The link between the two countries pumps at a much lower capacity than the designed 1.6 million bpd due to years of negligence following sanctions against the previous regime and more recent attacks.
