Germany's trade surplus hits USD25 b in Sept.


(MENAFN) The trade surplus in Germany hit a new record in September, pushed on by exports to the European Union, The Peninsula reported. The federal statistics office Destatis said the trade surplus in the country hit a record USD25.4 billion in seasonally adjusted terms in September. Germany exported goods worth USD124.3 billion in September, increasing from USD122.1 billion in the month before it. Imports, during the month, however, fell from USD101 billion to USD99 billion. The trade surplus in August came at USD21.1.
