His body was recovered two days after the residents in building 1-24 in Al Khail Gate Phase 2 complained of foul smell in the tap water. The Dubai Police on Wednesday told Khaleej Times the man's friends had filed a complaint after he went missing a week ago. Apparently, he was heavily drunk when they met him the last time in his friends' flat in the building. Residents said the water supply in the building was shut after the incident and the community's facilities management company has started supplying mineral water bottles to them for cooking and drinking. Taziz Property Management sent them a mail on Wednesday advising them not to use the tap water for any purpose, whatsoever, until further notice. "Furthermore, we have assigned units in building number 28 in phase 1 for your basic sanitary use. We hope to rectify the issue at the earliest," said the mail. On Thursday, residents received yet another mail from the company saying that it would arrange a shuttle bus service between their building and building No. 28 in Phase 1 for them.
