Sudan and Turkey Sign Economic Agreements


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Sudan and Turkey signed today a number of joint agreements between the two countries at the conclusion of the Sudanese- Turkish Joint Ministerial Committee's meeting to further develop bilateral cooperation. Following a meeting with Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir, Turkish Agriculture Minister Mehmet Mehdi Eker, said he submitted to President Al Bahsiroutcome of the joint ministerial committee. He his keenness to develop relations and to pave the way for a strong and influential Turkish role in major development processes in Sudan . Talks between the two countries dealt with the scientific and technical research, economic, commercial and agricultural areas iin included in the protocols which were sigtned today. For his part , the Sudanese Minister of Agriculture Dr. Abdel Halim Ismail Al-Mutafi noted that the Sudanese -Turkish relations are witnessing significant development and major partnerships aimed to promote joint cooperation , expecting that the coming period would witness a distinctive Turkish role in Sudan in all fields.
