Kuwait- Three Citizens Arrested For Drugs


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti citizen was apprehended in Kabad area by Jahra security operatives for possessing heroin and other drug paraphernalia. Sources said the suspect was arrested in the dead of night at a checkpoint in the area, under the guidance of Jahra Security Chief Major General Ibrahim Al- Tarrah. They explained that the citizen became jittery as he arrived at the checkpoint, prompting the officers to check his vehicle, and they found the contraband. Meanwhile, security operatives arrested three individuals for various offenses and issued 45 traffic citations during the operation. Meanwhile, two citizens were arrested by police in Maidan Hawalli with drugs and related tools plus sharp objects in their possession, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Apparently, Hawalli patrol officers on duty came across the two citizens and checked their details and uncovered both were wanted for drug-related offenses. They found envelopes of heroin and Shabu, a piece of hashish, and tools for doing drugs after conducting a search on them. The two citizens were referred to the concerned authority. In a statement, the Director General of Police Rescue Brigadier Zuhair Al-Nasrallah commended efforts of the Hawalli rescue officers in executing their duty, adding the campaign will continue around the clock to rid the governorate of law violators.
