Central African growth rate expected at 2.6 percent


(MENAFN) The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) reduced the expected expansion of the economies of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) was decreased from 3.2 percent to 2.6 percent, Xinhuanet reported. The slower growth in the ECCAS zone was said to be due to less public investment and a decrease in oil production by the member countries. ECCAS is a regional economic community made up from six countries, which are Central African Republic, Cameroon, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad.
