S. Africa car sales deeply affected by strike


(MENAFN) Car sales in South Africa were deeply hit due to the strike in the auto industry in September, Xinhuanet reported. The National Association of Automobile Manufactures of South Africa (NAAMSA) said that car exports in September were down 75.1 percent compared to the same month a year ago. NAAMSA said that a recovery has started in October following the strike's end, but still, exports plunged 15.1 percent and domestic sales were down 2.9 percent from September, 2012.
