Etihad Airways suspends flights to Tripoli

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways decided to suspend flights to Libya's capital citing security issues as the reason, Arabian Business reported. In a statement, the carrier said: "Our assessment of the existing situation at Tripoli airport does not provide the level of assurance we require to ensure safe operation of our flights." Two years following the fall of Muammar Gaddafi, Libya is facing major security issues as the government is still fighting for control in a country riddled with arms and militias.
