Indonesia inflation down to 8.32 percent in October


(MENAFN) The Indonesian national statistics bureau said that annual inflation in the country eased down to 8.32 percent last month from 8.40 percent in the month before it as prices for food and clothes decreased, Xinhuanet reported. The consumer price index in the month went down 0.09 percent following a 0.35 percent acceleration in September. Following the government"s increase of subsidized-fuel price by an average of 33 percent in June, the Central Bank reset its inflation target for this year to 9-9.8 percent from 3.5-4.5 percent. The country's central bank now expects the economy to grow by 5.5 percent to 5.9 percent this year.
