(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Ahmed Tufail has been promoted as partner of KPMG Oman. Ahmed joined KPMG as an audit trainee in 1995 and he charted his route to the top of his profession.
After passing the ACCA he moved to the US on an international assignment. He also qualified as a certified public accountant and attained membership of the Council of Petroleum Accountant Societies in the US.
He also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Tufail said, ''I believe achieving the professional qualifications and climbing the career ladder are my significant achievements. Having worked my way to the current grade of partner required significant commitment and persistence.''

Tufail's career spans 18 years with KPMG in Oman which he dedicated towards the audit profession. Tufail led large engagements in the oil and gas industry where he is considered as a subject expert. He also specialises in providing assurance services to sovereign wealth and private equity funds.
Internally, Tufail was instrumental in leading KPMG's Omanisation initiative, whereby he was responsible for hiring and developing young Omani accounting students in obtaining professional accounting qualification whilst gaining work experience. Currently KPMG has more than 25 Omani trainees studying to qualify as chartered certified accountants.
