Germany lends Morocco USD899.10 m to fund solar power plants


(MENAFN) Morocco has borrowed USD899.10 million from a German bank to fund two 300 megawatts solar power plants, according to Saudi Gazette. The two power plants will cost about USD2.33 billion, one with a 200 megawatts output and the other with 100 megawatts. Mustapha Bakoury, the head of Morocco's solar energy agency, Masen, said that tenders of construction are expected by the following week.
