Japanese ANA cuts year profit forecast due to 45 percent drop in H1

(MENAFN) Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) cut its forecast for the year as its profits plunged due to high fuel costs and the delayed delivery of a modified Dreamliner, Times of Oman reported. In the six months to September, ANA announced that net profit dropped 45.7 percent to reach USD20 million. The company now estimates that net profit for the fiscal year ending March 2014 will be at USD153 million, down from initial forecasts of USD458 million. The company said in a statement: "Passenger unit cost and numbers fell short of initial targets and there were delays in receiving new aircraft that caused delays in establishing new international routes and adding flights."
