S. Korea's industrial production records first decline in Q3


(MENAFN) South Korea's industrial output signed the first decline in its third quarter, indicating the economy may be losing growth momentum, according to Xinhuanet. Production in all industries, including manufacturing, service, construction and public administration sectors, dropped 0.8 percent in September from a month earlier after rising 1 percent in the prior month. Production in the service industry rose 0.3 percent on month in September, while output in the mining and manufacturing sector declined 2.1 percent. Production in the construction industry decreased 2.2 percent on month in September, and that in the public administration sector slid 3.3 percent.
