Jobless rate in S. Africa at 24.7 percent in Q3


(MENAFN) The jobless rate in South Africa fell from 25.6 percent in the April-June period to 24.7 percent in the July-September period, Xinhuanet reported. The number of unemployed people in the third quarter was 4.6 million, down from 4.7 million in the quarter before it. Employment went up by 308,000 in the third quarter, while job seekers dropped by 114,000.
