UAE's DP World consolidated volume jump 2 percent


(MENAFN) UAE-based DP World said that its consolidated container volumes in the July-September period increased to 6.7 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units), registering a two percent increase, Arabian Business reported. The third largest port operator in the world also said that unconsolidated volumes went up 2.4 percent in the period, reaching 14.2 million TEU. The company's chief executive said: "After a challenging first half in 2013 we are encouraged by the positive uplift witnessed in the third quarter - market guidance remains unchanged as our target remains gross like-for-like volumes in line with 2012."
