Emirates, Boeing talks for USD30 b order


(MENAFN) Dubai-based Emirates Airlines and Boeing are in advanced stages of talks to order 100 long-haul aircrafts at a cost of USD30 billion, logging the plane manufacturer's largest order ever, Arabian Business reported. Boeing's vice president of sales in the Middle East, Russia and Central Asia, said: "We are in a relatively advanced stage of commercial negotiations€‰.€‰.€‰.€‰I think whatever happens there will be a substantive order for the new 777." Emirates is also planning to place orders with Airbus for its A380 superjumbo and the new A350. The carrier has currently 194 aircrafts in services, 184 on order and options on an additional 100.
