(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Omran, the sultanate's leading development, investment and hospitality asset management company, has appointed Lubna al Kharusi as the company's new chief financial officer (CFO).
Lubna brings to Omran extensive local and international expertise, and a holistic understanding of finance, accounting and strategic management, a press release said.
In her new capacity, Lubna will ensure the efficient and effective planning and execution of financial management, governance and control. In the past, she served in nine different finance roles at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and worked in the UK with Shell International and also at Takamul. In addition to her new role at Omran, Lubna is also a board member of Dar al Atta'a Charity.
A fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), her credentials also include a bachelor's of commerce in strategic management from McGill University in Canada.
Eng Wael al Lawati, CEO of Omran, said, ''Finance represents the backbone of any organisation and I am confident that her deep understanding and knowledge of various financial disciplines in both the private and public sectors will further strengthen this strategic function within Omran.''
Lawati added that Lubna is the first female to be part of Omran's senior management team, which now consists of an all-Omani cadre.
