Malaysia Targets Tax Collections to Hit RM127 Billion This Year


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) targets tax collections this year to hit RM127 billion, a 57.6% increase over the RM124 billion last year, Malaysian's Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan said. After launching a briefing on Budget 2014, Malaysian's Deputy Finance Minister said that the tax collections have hit RM104 billion, according to Malaysia's (Bernama) News Agency Maslan added that IRBM has identified measures to manage the country's tax gap, including formulating a comprehensive and effective action plan.
