(MENAFN) Investors in Tokyo plan to focus on Japanese corporate earnings this week after firms, such as Sony, Toyota and Nintendo, have announced fiscal half-year results, according to Oman Observer.
Profitability among Japanese exporters has been improved after the yen has dropped since the beginning of 2013.
Kenzaburo Suwa, a strategist with Okasan Securities, commented: "Players will stick to the sidelines and take some time to look over details of major companies" earnings."
Senior technical analyst with Daiwa Securities Hikaru Sato, added: "investors will likely buy shares of firms that put in a good performance".
