Tokyo investors to focus on corporate earnings

(MENAFN) Investors in Tokyo plan to focus on Japanese corporate earnings this week after firms, such as Sony, Toyota and Nintendo, have announced fiscal half-year results, according to Oman Observer. Profitability among Japanese exporters has been improved after the yen has dropped since the beginning of 2013. Kenzaburo Suwa, a strategist with Okasan Securities, commented: "Players will stick to the sidelines and take some time to look over details of major companies" earnings." Senior technical analyst with Daiwa Securities Hikaru Sato, added: "investors will likely buy shares of firms that put in a good performance".
