(MENAFN) South Korea's leading airline, Korean Air, said that it intends to buy 12 Boeing passenger jets worth USD3.8 billion in the next five years, Times of Oman reported.
By the year 2018, the carrier plans to expand its fleet by adding six 777-300ERs, five 747-8 Intercontinentals and one 787 Dreamliner.
Currently, the carrier operates 155 aircrafts flying to 45 destinations around the globe.
Korean Air recently announced that its net profit for the third quarter hit USD324 million, dropping 1 percent from the year-ago period.
