Al Khaleej refinery buys first sugar cargo from India in two years

(MENAFN) Dubai-based Al Khaleej sugar refinery, bought its first sugar cargo from India since 2011, The Peninsula Qatar reported. The Indian sugar mills have incentives offering sugar from stocks at a price lower than the world average. The 100,000 tons deal with India instead of the refinery"s usual supplier, Brazil, is not related to the fire that broke out at Copersucar terminal as Al Khaleej said that a shipment of 50,000 tons was already agreed on with the company before the fire.
