(MENAFN) The UAE inked a USD4.9 billion aid agreement with Egypt, showing support to Egypt's army-backed government, Arabian Business reported.
The agreement includes a USD1 billion sent to Egypt last July, and the remaining fund is to support Egypt's sectors of economy.
A total aid of USD12 billion has been pledged from Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait since president Mohamed Mursi was removed from office in July.
