Oman to Host Enhancing Food Security in GCC Countries Symposium


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organize next Tuesday a Symposium on Enhancing Food Security at GCC Countries and a workshop under the theme Promoting Dates Industry and Marketing, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported. The Symposium aims at upgrading the level of food security and enhancing the private sector's role in the agricultural and food investment in the GCC countries The associating workshop aims at maximizing benefit from date palm, improving the level of dates production, promoting dates industry and marketing and benefiting from experience of other countries in this field The Symposium will include key working papers that will include GCC investment initiatives in food security and available opportunities and a working paper under the theme "Importance of Enhancing Food Reserves for the Interest of GCC Food Security" among other papers, according to ONA The Symposium will include a dialogue session under the theme Promoting Dates Industry and Marketing from Perspective of Local and Regional Experience.
