Kuwait- Surprise Inspection Drive Held In Ahmadi


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Ahmadi Security Directorate on Wednesday launched a surprise inspection campaign; leading to the arrest of a number of persons found to have violated the law, issuance of traffic citations and impounding of vehicles. According to Director of the directorate Major General Ayeth Abdullah Al-Otaibi, 25 persons wanted by law were arrested during the campaign and 56 others who failed to present valid identification documents. He said the campaign also resulted in the confiscation of 11 vehicles taken to the garage for impounded vehicles and issuance of 11 traffic citations. Moreover, Al-Otaibi disclosed the directorate carried out a similar campaign during the Eid Al-Adha holidays in Lualuat Al-Khiran, Al-Zoor coastal area, Wafra farms, vegetable market, livestock pens, Al-Fawaris and Al-Artal motorways. Throughout the campaign period, the officers provided assistance to 28 persons and removed 12 vehicles used for selling coal, 23 points for selling sheep, nine wagons for supplying buggies for rent, eight vehicles for selling firewood, 42 vehicles from the industrial lakes, six wagons for renting horses, issuance of 15 traffic citations; in addition to providing assistance to Nuwaiseeb Check Point Management due to the large number of pilgrims returning to the country. In conclusion, Al-Otaibi said the officers at the directorate work round the clock to guarantee public security and to organize traffic movement.
