(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti returned to Doha today after he participated in the meetings of the Council of Arab Ministers of Transport which were concluded in Alexandria on Thursday.
HE the Minister reiterated Qatar's keenness to participate in all Arab meetings that aim to enhance cooperation between Arab states. He pointed out that the meeting of the council of Arab ministers of transport saw a greater understanding among the participants on joint projects such as roads and support to transportation whether they are land, air or sea navigation.
Concluding its meetings on Thursday, the Arab Transport Ministers' Council called on the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC) to prepare a study on promoting the role of air transport in the trade exchange between Arab and South American groups, and it urged Arab states that have not signed the agreement on liberation of air transport between Arab countries to quickly join it.
