Job nationalization key topic at Riyadh economic forum


(MENAFN- Arab News) The Saudi government will hold its 6th economic forum in Riyadh from Dec. 9 to discuss ways to further boost the Kingdom's economy. The 3-day event will have the support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah. Various government ministries, companies and international delegates are taking part in the forum. The forum will discuss topics, including how to achieve the Kingdom's economic goals and objectives, as well as obstacles and challenges encountered and developments. Other topics such as localization of jobs in the Kingdom's private sector, in particular water as an economic resource for sustainable development, administrative and financial corruption effects and preventions, and roles of small and medium enterprises in the national economy will also be discussed. The 5th economic forum was held in Jeddah from March 16-18, 2013. It discussed about housing the growing population. The event was graced by various local leaders, including Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Minister of Commerce and Indusrty Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and Minister of Housing Showaish Al-Duwaihi. Foreign leaders who attended the event included Turkey Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, France Minister of Industrial Renewal Arnaud Montebourg and Singapore Minister of National Development Lee Yi Shyan.
