UK to increase energy sector's competition

(MENAFN) UK's Prime Minister David Cameron said that the Kingdom plans to increase competition in its energy sector, in addition to cutting environmental taxes to decrease consumer's rising utility bills, according to Arab News. Cameron, who is forced to freeze bills for twenty months, said that the cost of energy bills is "unacceptable." He added: "We need to roll back some of the green regulations and charges. We will be having a proper competition test carried out over the next year to get to the bottom of whether this market can be more competitive."
